Hi Nicole, I flew to Edmonton a few years ago to visit my Canadian girlfriend. I was 7 weeks and then flew back from Vancouver. I got together with a few others selected for a further interview before they let me in. I simply told the honest story (I student with only 1000 and my friend has a house, so that 1000 is adequate. Got a few more questions (how can a student pay a ticket? "Studying is virtually free GB ".) Was extremely friendly intention and they did not really difficult.
